RPM Adjustments
The revolutions per minute (RPMs) can be adjusted on variable speed circulation pumps as required for site conditions.
NOTICE
Failure to heed the following may result in damage to equipment.
- Configuring an incorrect RPM will effect heat performance, filtration performance, and possibly cause damage to equipment. This is not covered by AquaCal warranties.
- RPM for groups - An adjustment can be made for each individual group that contains a variable speed circulation pump. See "RPM adjustment (for groups)". A group controlling a water feature, for example, can have a different operating RPM than a pool group.
Please note:
This RPM is only applicable to a groups normal operating state without an actively heating or cooling heat pump and after any priming RPM of a circulation pump.
- RPM for the heat pump's active heat / cool speed - The RPMs can be adjusted to provide the most efficient operation of the heat pump. See "RPM adjustment (for heat pump active heating or cooling)". This is a global setting for this piece of equipment. Once entered, the heat pump will use this RPM when active. Once the heat pump is satisfied, the RPM will again use the group's normal RPM setting.
Please note:
Variable speed circulation pump's also have a priming speed that is effective upon start up. After the pump is primed, the regular RPM speed for the group or the heat pump's heat / cool speed is activated.
