Flight School for the Field Service Technician - Salt Chlorine Generators

Flight School is a technically oriented, combination classroom and hands-on AutoPilot chlorinator training seminar. This seven (7) hour program is CEU-approved by the State of Florida, and is designed for pool and spa service professionals already engaged in the business of installing, troubleshooting, and repairing pool & spa equipment. Likewise, this course should prove equally useful to Customer Service and Sales Agents who typically assist customers in diagnosing AutoPilot system or site related problems. To participate fully, some knowledge of basic electricity (and corresponding use of electrical test meters) is helpful.

Course material is specific to AutoPilot chlorination systems. Flight School is conducted monthly at the St. Petersburg, FL, AquaCal AutoPilot factory.

The basic course fee is $25.00 with lunch and refreshments provided. Add an additional $25.00 if you are seeking CE credits, for a total of $50.00.

Associate of Science Degree in Aquatic Engineering Technology

 

Keiser University partnered with Team Horner in August of 2004, introducing the industry’s first online accredited college degree program that addresses the increasing need for technical training in the pool and spa industry.

The Mission of this course is to elevate the awareness for the need of continuing education for the aquatic professional through a distance learning program that encourages students to broaden their knowledge in all aspects of swimming pool management and operation. 

The program is a total of 60 semester hours in duration. The student must complete the following 36 credit hours of core courses:  Basic Chemistry, Advanced Chemistry, Hydraulics Technology, Filtration Technology, Cleaning Technology, Heating Technology, Electrical Technology, Lighting Technology, Pool Design (Introduction), Methods of Construction, Landscape Design, Pool Operation.  In addition to the core courses, the student will complete 24 hours of general education courses. 

The Associates Degree is entirely online with interaction with an experienced, qualified instructor with over 40 years of experience in the swimming pool industry.  Each week there are Threaded Discussions, Learning Activities, Webliographies, Live Chats, Tests and Summaries.  Textbooks by well known authors are provided as well as PowerPoint presentations.
