Hot Shot School
Hot Shot School is a 1-day seminar, generally held at the St. Petersburg, FL, AquaCal site. The seminar material is structured to provide an overview of swimming pool heat pump principles, and a basic introduction to how heat pumps work. While some of the material is "mildly" technical, the presentation is non-technical in nature. Visuals, pass around examples, and handouts–fully explained by an experienced and knowledgeable instructor — enable all attendees to come away with an elementary understanding of heat pump principles. While it is helpful for the attendee to have some previous knowledge of swimming pool installations, this knowledge is not mandatory; likewise, to attend, one need not possess a previous understanding of heat pumps or refrigeration principles.
While Hot Shot is geared towards Swimming Pool Contractors (dealers)–with Six (6) State of Florida approved continuing education credits being awarded for attendance — any Team Horner member having a need to learn more about heat pumps would benefit from attending a Hot Shot presentation.
Lunch and refreshments are provided, as is an AquaCal factory tour.
